03 Rules to send digital images and texts
* When sending digital images and captions
Digital images are attached; captions are pasted in your e-mail when sending.
* Files of images
To keep quality of images at a certain grade on the website, save them in JPEG file referring to the guidelines as follows.
Adjust the images as follows with photo-retouch software packed with the camera we send, or off-the-shelf software. When adjusting, do not change the quality of images such as brightness and contrast. If you take pictures under the particular condition, and process efficaciously for regular report, please send us both processed and unprocessed (but adjusted to guidelines) ones.
Size of image files
Weekly report A shorter side of an image should be 480 pixels.
(A longer side turns out 640 pixels automatically.)
Community news A shorter side of an image should be 480 pixels.

File name should be within 8 letters; symbols cannot be used for the name. [e.g. : ; / . *]

Weekly report Digital image: 1
Date you shot
Body text: 40~60 words
Community news Digital image: 2~4
Date you shot
Headline
Body text: 30~50 words
Caption: 15 words or less for each photo
As a rule, we upload your text as it stands. However, we may reluctantly modify
* Deadline
You submit your Weekly report by Tuesday.
> Reports we get by Tuesday are uploaded on Friday of the week.
> Reports we get after Tuesday are uploaded the following Friday.
Japanese version opened on Friday is opened in English the following Wednesday.
We don't set up a deadline for Community news both in Japanese and English. You send Community news as soon as you complete, and we open it in a few days.
When we work on irregular schedule such as year-end through New Year holidays, we will let you know by e-mail beforehand.
